Purchasing School Meals:

  • Payschools link - Add money to your child’s lunch account via the Payschools online portal, link below
  • Send your child with a check written out to the Spotswood Board of Education. In the notes section of the check please write “lunch account”.
  • To view a full price list of all A LA CARTE Items for Elementary, Middle, or High School, please click the respective links.

If your student should leave the school district you are responsible for any outstanding meal

balances due. If you would like a refund of any remaining positive meal balance, you must

request it in writing within 30 days from the last date of attendance. Failure to do so will result in

that balance being forfeit. You can submit a refund request to [email protected].

Free and Reduced Information:

The State of New Jersey will be reimplementing the Free and Reduced program for the

2025-2026 school year. This program is used to determine eligibility for free or reduced meals

for the student, free college applications, state funding and other programs through the state. All

families are encouraged to complete the application to determine eligibility.

 

Please keep in mind that you must complete a School Meals and Summer EBT application EVERY school year. If you have already received a letter from us stating that your family was directly certified from the State for 25-26, then you DO NOT need to do anything.

 

When you submit your application you will receive a determination letter. It is important that you keep this determination letter as your proof of eligibility in the program whether or not you were directly certified or you submitted an online or paper application. If you do not receive a determination letter after having applied, please contact Donna Marra asap at [email protected] or 732-723-2200 x5030.

If we have not received your application for 2025-2026, by 30 days from the start of the school year, your benefit eligibility will revert back to paying for meals.

To apply for the Free and Reduced Price Meals program:

  • Follow this link to your Genesis Parent Portal to fill out the necessary application. Under the forms tab, at the bottom of the page, is the online application portal.
  • Print the forms below and return to your child’s school
  • Ask for a copy at your child’s school and then return it after completing
